Voluntary reporting
The Omnibus package has reduced the number of entities required to report in accordance with the CSRD. However, legal compliance is not the only reason why managing ESG within an organization and publishing reports is worth your time.
ESRS-inspired approach and GRI reports
Investors, banks, and partners across the value chain are increasingly expecting transparent ESG data. Forward-thinking companies have the opportunity to:
- Use the CSRD-aligned reporting methodology to disclose their most important topics, which will make it easier to expand the range of reported indicators in future years while optimizing internal efforts. Refer back to previously used standards, such as GRI-based reporting.
In both approaches, it is worth using the double materiality analysis (DMA) as a tool to structure the assessment of sustainability issues relevant to the company and to organize ESG areas within the organization. We support our clients in building an effective internal ESG team.
We have carried out projects of this kind, to varying extents, for the following brands:
Simplified reporting – VSME
VSME is a voluntary sustainability reporting standard originally developed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises that are not listed on the stock exchange and are not subject to CSRD regulations. With the introduction of the Omnibus package, many organizations have taken an interest in this framework, recognizing that its disclosure scope aligns with the minimum expectations of stakeholders, especially business partners. We offer:
- Support in preparing a report in line with the VSME standard, both in the basic and comprehensive module Preparation of data collection templates
- Report content development Support with additional activities such as policy preparation or carbon footprint calculation
Marketing reporting
Many organizations are not formally required to publish reports on non-financial information. However, they understand the importance of reaching at least a basic level of maturity in collecting and communicating ESG data. For this group of clients, we create simplified publications (brochures) that signal the company’s committment to sustainability to the market. These materials are particularly valuable in relationships with clients, investors, and business partners.
